Design Meets Passion: Visiting the Interior Brand Des Pots in Best

FEMpions members explore the vibrant showroom, meet Art Director Nell Koolen, and celebrate a year of networking, creativity, and new connections.

“What a splendor of colors!” marvels Jayeeta, a program manager and senior consultant. Coach and trainer Károly says in surprise: “I never would have thought the showroom was so big.“ We visit the Des Pots company in Best, where Art Director Nell  welcomes us with open arms at the entrance.

We’re excited to learn more from Nell about Des Pots, her design ideas and how she and her husband Gerard started the company. But first, we head up to the first floor. Overlooking the impressive showroom, we savor the joy of reunion, welcome our new FEMpions, and proudly reflect on what we’ve achieved: one year of FEMpions – with many new networkers, budding friendships, and exciting plans for upcoming meetings, activities, social engagement, and much more.

Finally, Nell tells us how Des Pots was born and developed into an impressive Dutch design and interior brand since 1989. She proudly talks about their business and sales development and shows us a shiny green flowerpot. “That was our first big success,” she laughs. Nell speaks passionately and with great dedication about the ideas behind her designs, inspired, for example, by books, market visits abroad, or long walks in nature.

With wide eyes and full of admiration, we explore every corner of the showroom, discuss the striking design pieces, and admire their signature designs like the lemon and strawberry vases. “Here I got great new ideas for my current project,” shares Julia, illustrator at Best, while absorbing all colorful details.

The impressions of Des Pots remain with us even during the concluding networking session, “I’m extremely impressed by Des Pots and Nell’s work,” acknowledges psychologist Jasmin. Inspired, uplifted, and with new contacts and a lovely goodie bag in our luggage, our wonderful FEMpions meeting comes to a close – with renewed energy, until next time.
