FEMpions Makes a Splash at Its Kickoff

On September 12, we had the great pleasure of hosting the first FEMpions meeting — the kickoff of our business women’s network in Best. Nine international and professional women met at the Van der Valk Hotel Eindhoven-Best for an evening full of energy, inspiration, and networking.

Our first meeting exceeded all expectations. From the very first moment, there was an incredible excitement in the air – women from diverse backgrounds sharing experiences, ideas, and goals. From the 12th floor of the Van der Valk Hotel Best-Eindhoven, overlooking the lights of the cities Eindhoven and Best, you could feel the energy.

It was wonderful to see FEMpions come to life. Our first meeting was fantastic! We discussed what this community should stand for: learning from and with each other, supporting other women in business, being mentors and role models, and being socially engaged. This was just the beginning of something big – and I couldn’t be prouder.

From an Idea to a Movement

The name FEMpions stands for “Female Champions” – women who excel in their field and inspire others. The idea for the FEMpions network has been in my mind for a long time. As an expat coach in Eindhoven, I see how international women succeed when they network and support each other. I wanted to bring this spirit to Best. The city administration also confirmed that the time was right.

Our first official FEMpions meeting will take place in January 2025. All businesswomen from Best and the surrounding area – whether from the Netherlands or abroad – are warmly welcome. Our meetings are held three times a year in English. The focus is on knowledge sharing, professional development, and inspiration through presentations, workshops, mentoring, and, of course, networking drinks and lots of fun.

My dream is to build a strong network of international female professionals who grow together – personally and professionally – here in Best and beyond.
